Curated by Toni Bailey at Casula Powerhouse, Sydney, Like is an exhibition that was curated with the intention to appeal to youth audiences, and introduce contemporary art to young people who may not have seen it before. The exhibition reveals that contemporary art encompasses a myriad of materials, artistic approaches and ideas.
Most importantly, Like shows that contemporary art is a response to the issues, characteristics and nuances of contemporary society (one that is relevant to youth culture); from technology and social media to relationships, politics and popular culture.
